July 2026 | Terry the Toad was simply delivering a fresh batch of blueberries across the countryside when another strange sound joined the chorus. This time, it was not the whistling wind or a snoring bear. It was the ringing of a brand new award.

Olive Green Books is thrilled to share that A Strange Sound is officially a 2026 Purple Dragonfly Book Award Winner. Our rhyming mystery earned honours in both the Best Illustrations and Picture Books 5 & Younger categories.

Terry proves that slowing down to investigate a quiet mystery can lead to beautiful discoveries. It is a celebration of observant kindness, brought to life by the 100% human-made watercolour art of Dainius Šukys.
